This gorgeous vintage, handmade tea cosy is perfect for keeping the teapot warm. Knit in a thick purple wool this cover has an embellishment of soft yellow flowers and green leaves. It is certainly quite striking. Has a cute little wool covered metal ring on top.

The purple colour, on my screen is actually in between the two sets of photos. Slightly darker than the ones on the floral background and slightly lighter than the ones on the green background.

It is displayed in the photographs on my 6cup teapot, but it is a little snug and would be best suited to a four cup pot. (Teapot not included or for sale)

In excellent condition for its age, there are no stains, rips or damage. It appears to have never been used as used tea pot covers almost always of small tea stains around the openings from dribbling tea pots.
