Wonderful vintage magazine - Australian Home Journal, published April 1962.

Full edition of the magazine, plus paper pattern for the three dresses illustrated on the front cover. Two ladies dresses and one girl’s dress. Full instructions for sewing the pattern are contained in the magazine.

This magazine is full of retro inspiration, it is full of 1960s advertisements, graphics, craft, cooking and fashion. I love it for the wonderful fashion illustrations.

Magazine is being sold as is. There is wear and tear consistent with age, she is 62 years old.
There is some age damage to the edges of the pages, age discolouration and stains to the pages. some fold marks. Original staples are still in place and holding all pages.
The pattern appears to be unused and still factory folded. In good condition for its age.

Australian Home Journal started in the 1930s, by John Sands Ltd, Sydney as a fashion magazine, featuring mostly fashion-related content such as sewing and knitting patterns, fashion tips and updates on the latest trends. It became very well known and world renowned for its inclusion of on-trend sewing patterns. Australian Consolidated Press became the publisher in 1965 and the emphasis of the magazine shifted from fashion to homemaking in general.
