Wonderful vintage sewing pattern from the Australian Home Journal, published May 1960.

The original magazine cover, has a wonderful full page colour advertisement on the flip side. Five full double sided magazine pages, that consist of the full instructions for the sewing pattern peppered with magazine advertisements.

27.5cm x 20.5cm - just a little smaller than A4.

The cover and magazine pages are in good condition, especially considering the age, she is 62 years old. No obvious damage, black and white pages are yellowed with age.

The pattern appears to be unused, although it has been unfolded. All pieces are accounted for. There are no rips and no pin marks. In good condition for its age.

Australian Home Journal started in the 1930s, by John Sands Ltd, Sydney as a fashion magazine, featuring mostly fashion-related content such as sewing and knitting patterns, fashion tips and updates on the latest trends. It became very well known and world renowned for its inclusion of on-trend sewing patterns. Australian Consolidated Press became the publisher in 1965 and the emphasis of the magazine shifted from fashion to homemaking in general.
