I love this concept, to share with a child; reading a well loved fairy tale and then cooking a matching recipe together. Each fairy tale is accompanied by full colour illustrations and the recipe pages are accompanied with one colour illustrations.

Each fairy tale is followed by a page of simple recipes, linked in some way to the people and events that appear in the stories. The food these fairytale people eat includes meat, fish, egg and cheese dishes, salads and savouries, puddings, cakes and home made sweets. all the recipes have been carefully tested to make sure that they are easy and interesting to prepare and good to eat, too.

The stories and recipes are illustrated in colour on every page.

This book in is very good condition. The front and back covers are extremely neat and tidy, there is a fine film of plastic over the cover, from the time of publishing and it is a little brittle on the folds of the covers. The spine is nice and tight. The first page - blank on both sides, has come away from the spine, approx. 6 cms at the bottom of the page.
There is a small sticker in the bottom left hand corner of the title page stating where the book was sold originally.
The inside pages are in excellent condition. No rips, tears or folds. No writing. No obvious discolouration from age.
There is a very slight musty smell.
Colour illustrations are bight and crisp.
