This pattern is 62 years old, and these dresses would look just as wonderful and stylish made up today as they did 60 odd years ago.

Please note that you purchasing:

* the original front and back covers of the magazine
* the original tissue paper sewing pattern

* Ladies Bolero No. 5828 - 32 inch bust, 25 inch waist

The three full double sided magazine pages, consist of the full instructions for the sewing pattern peppered with magazine advertisements.

27.5cm x 20.5cm - just a little smaller than A4.

Please bear in mind these items are 62 years old. The cover is in fair condition, it is has some wear and tear mostly around the edges some small tears and chipping. There are a couple of holes on the spine where the staples were.

The instruction pages are in fair condition. There are some fold marks and some creases.

The pattern is in good condition. It appears to have been gently used. There are no rips or tears. It is creased. There are no pin holes in any of the pieces. All pieces are accounted for.
I unfolded the pattern to account for all the pieces.

The pages are old, the cover is a little brittle.

************

Australian Home Journal started in the 1930s, by John Sands Ltd, Sydney as a fashion magazine, featuring mostly fashion-related content such as sewing and knitting patterns, fashion tips and updates on the latest trends. It became very well known and world renowned for its inclusion of on-trend sewing patterns. Australian Consolidated Press became the publisher in 1965 and the emphasis of the magazine shifted from fashion to homemaking in general.
